Sloan J. ZarkinSloan joins the Law Offices of Stephen R. Stern, P.C. after spending four (4) years at Anderson Kill & Olick, P.C. and six (6) years at Reed Smith, LLP. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and business disputes. She has experience litigating cases involving claims of securities fraud, violations of antitrust laws, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty and business torts. Sloan also has experience in employment litigation, including claims of race, age, disability and sex discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment, wrongful discharge, violations of wage and hour laws and breach of contract. Representative examples of her employment practice include, but are not limited to, representing large universities in disputes surrounding denial of tenure, representing companies, both large and small, in sexual harassment and discrimination litigation, and matters such as drafting employee handbooks, non-compete agreements and release agreements. She has litigated in state and federal courts, as well as before the American Arbitration Association.
